Tablas Creek Vineyard was founded by the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel and importer Robert Haas. They chose the hilly Las Tablas district of west Paso Robles for its similarities to Châteauneuf du Pape: limestone soils, a favorable climate, and rugged terrain.
The partners imported the traditional varietals grown on the Perrins' celebrated estate, reproduced them on-site, and planted them in their organically farmed estate vineyard. Tablas Creek follows the Châteauneuf du Pape tradition of blending to produce wines of balance and elegance.
The vineyard’s signature wines, designed for long aging, are the Esprit de Beaucastel and Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc. The Côtes de Tablas and Côtes de Tablas Blanc show lush, rich flavors, while the Patelin de Tablas and Patelin de Tablas Blanc are fresh, clean and bright.
